Wise family Co Westmeath

Hi Folks,
            Any info on the name Wise.This family came from near Moate in a area called Kilcatherina-Co Westmeath Ireland.

 thank you, I've even been wondering if it is the right spelling of the name ?To be truthful it doesn't even sound every much like an Irish name?I know for sure there was a family of this name.

Notinpastyey, just had a quick look in my 04 phone directory, covers Meath & Westmeath, there are 2 listings for Wise & 12 listings for Wyse, in my past experience the latter spelling is more common over here.

my research shows the family did spell their surname both as Wise/Wyse
