Keeping Notes

I don't know if most people are like me, I tend to have a word file that I jot down notes of what I need to do
ie Look for Jane Smith marrying John Brown in 1876

It tends to get a bit messy

I came across a free program the other day that is aimed at writers (fiction) you enter the characters names etc and link them with timelines etc

Just had a play with it and I think it could be a useful tool
