Hello Folks
I have a number of Armstrongs born in Shingay (under Royston district), but can't find date of births &/or christenings. Can anyone help? They are as follow:
Rosa - Royston 3a 227 Sep quarter  1863
Sarah -    "        "   291 Jun      "        1870
Annie Elizabeth - " 3a 291  Sep "      1871
Freeman -     "        3a 340  Jun   "    1876
Samuel  -      "         3a 353   Mar   "  1878
Florence -     "          3a 370  Dec    "  1879

Shingay is in Cambridgeshire and not Herts, so I will move this over to the Cambs board for you.

Unfortunately Wendy-cum-Shingay isn't on the IGI, baptisms only go up to 1812 on the BVRI, and the transcript from Cambs FHS goes to 1845. Nor is there a film available from the LDS  for the period you are seeking.

It seems as though Cambridge Record Office is what you need for baptisms. £7 a shot to buy the birth certs works out a bit expensive.
