I am doing a one name study of the Rossiter family and am looking for information please about the parents and siblings of Samuel John Rossiter baptised on May 8th 1831 at Tarrant Rushton.

Unfortunately, I have that Samuel already but he is a Samuel James not a Samuel John.

Have you check www.dorset-opc.com ?   That site shows the baptism of Samuel John Rossiter on 8 May 1831, at Tarrant Rushton, but with parents  James and Martha.

There seems to have been another Samuel John Rossiter, baptised on 16 January 1834, to James and Martha.  Found on www.dorset-opc.com

This looks like the burial for Samuel no.1:

 13 February 1833 Samuel Rossiter aged 2 at Shillingstone

again from the Dorset OPC site.

I think the first of your post is the person I am looking for. The second post complicates things in that I am unclear if there are one or two Samuel Johns.

Was hoping that a census lookup would clarify things.
