Cashlinney Church
« on: Tuesday 26 February 08 17:06 GMT (UK) »
Has anyone ever heard of, or know anything about, Cashlinney church? It is located north of Pettigo, near the Fermanagh-Donegal border, and was the closest church to people in several townlands there (eg. Tulynaloob). It is in ruin now, not having been used for many years, but I would like to find church records from it, if at all possible.

Any idea what religion it was? Proni might have microfilmed the records but chek the LDS catalogue to see if they have (if so they can be ordered for a small fee to view at your local LDS library) Have you tried putting the name into a search engine like Google to see if any references come up.

did try Google, with no luck.
The church was COI, I believe.  Not Catholic.  Thanks for tip on PRONI; I'll be there in July, and will check.

Not sure what dates the church was in existance but many Church of Ireland parish records were destroyed after being sent to Dublin for safe-keeping.
