Did they have electoral rolls in 1901?? I can't find my rel on the 1901 census and he doesn't seem to crop up again until his death in 1935. Cass

Yes Ricky I have but without any joy. He was James Fagan born in Ireland in 1867 and married Sarah Murphy in Workington in 1889. They lived in Griffin St. Sarah and the children are on the 1901 census but not James. I can't find him anywhere in the country so assumed he was ?visiting Ireland. Would I be able to find electoral rolls online or to I have to go in person to the local archives? Unfortunatley I do not live in Cumbria. Cass
