Is there anybody famous amongst your Welsh ancestors? A good place to find out is The Welsh Biography Online

WBO is an electronic version of the Welsh and English Books published by the Honourable Society of Cymrodorion which gives potted biographies of those who contributed to Welsh History and Culture and who died before 1971.

Even if you don’t know of any famous Welsh ancestors its worth having a play with this site and entering names and places that come up in your research – you may find that a family member who was famous without you knowing it
