Hello!

Foz also helped me with my Morby ancestors in Tadmarton last year.

One of the most helpful rootschatters!

Thanks again from me also and best wishes!

Hi Nick & Aunt Sally,

Thanks for your thanks !!   :-*

It's exciting to do some research for someone else when your own tree has hit a brick wall !   ;D
Just looking for different names makes it seem fresh.

Then I go back to my tree and get down in the doldrums because I seem to be really stuck.    >:(

Never mind, I suppose it keeps me out of trouble !!    ::)

Best wishes

Foz

(Hi Aunt Sally,  I hope you're O.K. I noticed your name in the Church visitors book, thanks for coming to see the church)

Hi  :)!
Found this page through an internet search.
Am just starting to research the Box family for a friend in the US.
Anyone know anything about a George Box, born Tadmarton c1872? I think he emigrated to US in 1897. Wondered if anyone knew for sure?

Thanks

Hi Moggies12,

Just found your request.  I'm afraid I deleted all the Box info that I had found.

I've had a quick look on the computer and found this:-

George Box b.c.1872 Tadmarton,

parents = Elijah Box & (Thurza?) Ann Clifton   m. Dec quarter 1866

siblings = Charles b.c.1868,  John b.c.1875,  Minnie b.c.1878.
--------------------------------

Elijah Box b.c.1854 Tadmarton,

parents:-  Thomas Box b.c.1822 Tadmarton & Ann  ?  b.c.1822 Radstone, Northants

siblings:-  William b.c.1844,  Betsey b.c.1845,  Hannah b.c.1851,  Eli b.c.1853,
                 James b.c.1855,  Caroline b.c.1858,  Emanuel b.c.1860,  Harriett b.c.1862
                 Rachel b.c.1865
--------------------------------

Ann Clifton b.c.1849 Bloxham

--------------------------------

1901 census says George was 56 yrs old and was a brewers drayman living at 12, Wood Lane, Stapehill, Stafford.  Didn't have a wife or children with him.

I hope this is of help to you,  perhaps you could PM Brummie Nick, he should have all the info I found earlier.  If you need any more help please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Regards
Foz
