Hello Mike
Again a thousand thanks for the information
With regard to the marriage of Richard Markram and Elizabeth Peberdy, I have found a record in Pallots and also a Parish and Probate Record. Could you look these up please, I'm just wondering if further info. may be added to their marriage (below)
Richard Markham. ~ Elizabeth Peberdy.
11th/16th. November. 1816.
By Banns.
St. Nicholas Parish Church.
Fleckney. Leicestershire.
I am assuming that she was Elizabeth Peberdy b 1799 d Leicester 1880 and he was Richard Markram/Markham, son of Richard Markham, b 1799 Oadby, recorded in 1881 Census as an inmate in Trinity Hospital, Leicester, d 1883. If so they were both about 17 on the day!
It may also be the same Peberdy family who produced Sophia Peberdy b 1786 (daughter of John Peberdy and Mary b 1764 and 1766) who married George Ludlam in 1809. Their daughter Matilda m Richard Markham b 1836, in 1860 (Richard above was the Uncle of this Richard)
Whilst writing
You mentioned in your list of burials - Richard Markham d 1847 aged 87. Is this the Richard Markham who married Frances,. If so he would have been born in 1760 (37 years old when his first child was born - seems quite old) As there is no mention of Frances it is difficult to check
There is a Richard Markram, b 1766, still living, on his own, in 1841, maybe this is Frances's husband?
Regards
Simon
