You can look up townlands and parishes in Ireland at www.thecore.com/seanruad (be sure to change default search setting from exact match to look for part of a name.
Also, you can search in LDS catalogue (under place name) to find if LDs have microfilmed records for an area.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
