Plse Help re McKAY

Hi all....

Could some kind members help me find out where in Scotland  the following was born.  An added bonus would to learn who his parents were too.

Alexander McKAY was  born 27 April 1873 Scotland.
He came to New Zealand where he married Theresa C McLAUCHLAN born 1891 Tinwald New Zealand  in 1913 In New Zealand.

Know this is a long shot.

Alexander McKay born 27 April 1873 at Longside, Aberdeenshire. Parents were Alexander McKay and Elspet Cow.

Just to add a little more, they were married at Longside on 2 Jul 1870 and they also had a daughter Isabella McKay born 18 May 1871 at Lonmay, Aberdeen.  There are probably more siblings.

Alexander Mckay 23 Farm Servant born Lonmay
Elspet McKay 21 Wife born Longside

Can't seem to find them on the 1881 or the 1891 Census.

Tiffaney, you can download their marriage certificate on Scotland's People http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ for a very small charge...this should give you Alexander and Elspet's parents. You'll also be able to download Alexander's birth certificate.
