Hi Sarahjane, I used to live near Clytha, could you give us a little more information about your JONES family. When did Robert Jones win his Victoria Cross? this can help us to get you started on the right path to trace your ancestors.

His parents where Robert and Hannah Jones, his brothers were Lewis,  thomas,John,William James, edwin, Charles and Phillip. His sisters were Margaret , Anne, Fanny m, Mary Jane, and Gertrude.
Some of his brothers and sisters where born in Penrose or is it Penrhos and thats also where his father was born.I think ther are more of them. Also it would be nice to know where they all moved to etc..
Robert was awarded the VC for rourkes drift.

The easiest way to find out where they all moved to is to start with your branch of the family and work your way back. You have probably already done this but start by writing down everything you know about yourself and your family - brothers and sisters, parents. I don't know how long you have been researching so I don't want to go on and on telling you things you already know but if you want me to I will
