STURGES/SHOOLER marriage circa 1828 Chislet, Sturry area please
« on: Thursday 13 March 08 21:20 GMT (UK) »
Hello

I have just found out from a birth certificate of Esther Sturges born 1841, Chislet that her mother Sarah's maiden name was SHOOLER. Her father was Richard Sturges.

I know from the census data that Sarah was born in Sturry 1801. I did a search for Sarah SHOOLER bap circa 1801 on the IGI and came up with a Sarah SHOVELER bap 1800 Sturry, Kent.

So i am looking for a marriage between Richard Sturges & Sarah Shooler about 1828 in the Chislet, Sturry, Canterbury area. I say this area because their oldest child on the census Edwin Sturges was born in 1828, Chislet.

Thank you in advance.

Hello Casalguidi

I did find this marriage last year while on a visit to the Canterbury Archives.

Thank you for searching this record for me.
