Joseph Taylor again- death and birth
« on: Saturday 15 March 08 14:11 GMT (UK) »
Can you help me again

Trying to find a birth for Joseph

I know his parents were Tuckney and Rebecca Taylor (nee Watson) and that he was born in Holbeach but can't pinpoint his birth. I've found 3 - 2 for March 1847 and one for March 1848. The Census returns give him a birth year of either 47 or 48 so these are no use. Anyone able to find a baptism record? Baptised possibly Holbeach.

Also trying to pinpoint his death. My uncle seems he died in 1918 aged around 70. Would have been Holbeach registration district and possibly buried Long Sutton or Sutton Bridge my dad seems to think.

Thank you

Melanie

Not sure if you have these but  burials for Tuckney; probably related (unusual name).

Tuckney TAYLOR Date 14 Oct 1825 Aged 53 Place Kirton in Holland Description St Peter & St Paul

Tuckney TAYLOR Date 10 Sep 1865 Aged 34 Place Whaplode Description St Mary

Tuckney TAYLOR Date 22 Feb 1877 Aged 66 Place Whaplode Description St Mary

Tuckney TAYLOR Date 18 Dec 1877 Aged 2 Place Whaplode Description St Mary

Nothing obvious around the date for Joseph in Lincolnshire.

The death of Tuckney is Joseph's father and the 1877 one is correct. He was still alive in 1871 having married again. Thankyou

geoff - I'd found that death and it fits with what my dad and uncle recall.
