Mapping Software recommendations
« on: Wednesday 19 March 08 20:59 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Can anyone advise/recommend any Mapping Software compatible with FTM 2006 files & Windows XP.

Ideally I would like good coverage of UK villages but also worldwide as several of my ancestors settled overseas.

Bit of a novice when it comes to this sort of thing so any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Eve   ???

I use multimap which is online.  I save the images (or you could PrtScr into paint and then save wherever you want) and have put arrows and stuff on them for when I write up my families.

Hi Silvery

Thanks for that - yes I've done the same in the past, I was looking for something that showed distribution of a family name which picked up info from my Family Tree Maker files

Cheers

Eve
