Which Pub in Hull ???
« on: Thursday 20 March 08 11:47 GMT (UK) »
I have traced one of my ancestors on the 1891 census
RG12; Piece: 3936; Folio 4; Page 1  :D

William Wray, 36, Licenced Victualler, born in Leeds West Yorkshire, living at 1 Castle Street, Kingston upon Hull.

My question is can anyone tell me which pub he was licenced victualler in  ???

Here he is in Castle Street at the Commercial Hotel  >

There were 7 miles of Docks in Hull, Queens Dock and Princes Dock being two of them.  On the same page you'll notice "Myton Gate".  Myton was one of the original villages that made up the city of Kingston Upon Hull and because it fronted the river was a bustling busy place.
