1871 Hull/East Riding

Possibly living in Hull, or round about that area, can anyone shed any light on an Emily Giles born about 1868 daughter of Robert Giles a blacksmith.

I'm afraid thats all the info I have but I'd dearly like any info that was available.

She may have had a grocers shop at 39 Mason Street in Hull as Emily Pittaway in later life if anyone can confirm.

Can't see anything that fits exactly with either Emily's age or her father's occupation. The closest is a 6 month old Emily in Sutton upon Derwent 1871. Her father Robert is described in various censuses as farm servant, bailiff and gamekeeper.

Are there any Emily Giles born in Hull in 1868? Irrespective of the fathers name.

She shows up in 1881, working as a servant in Leeds, as born in Hull that year.

Alas no, and if she was a servant in 1881 this is unlikely to be your girl. I've searched all Emily's born Hull age 2/3/4.
