Hi Ros and All

I am the South African connection mentioned by Ros - my GGrandfather was William Jarvis a China Dealer who settled in Penzance Cornwall having married in Launceston Cornwall. He was born in Blythe Marsh around 1845. All his children were born in Penzance and William (his 2nd son) came out to the Cape sometime around 1902. Grandfather William went to school in Truro (1891 census) and went on to become a dentist before coming to South Afruca. I believe GG William may have had a brother Richard who was also in the China business in Cornwall.

It is so confusing there being so many Jarvis men with the same first names - but I hope to sort them out (with help) one day.

Hi, Re William Henry Heath, he was born in Blyth Marsh in 1835, and as you said married Elizabeth Mollard in Redruth on 11/1/1858, his father is named as John Heath (deceased) and occupation was earthenware dealer.
William did set up a shop in Camborne sometime in the 1860s and they had 11 children.
William died in Camborne in 1912 and is buried in the Wesleyan cemetary there, Elizabeth died in 1916 and is buried with William.

Hope this information is of use to you.
