1841, 1851 William Jarvis

William and Ann Jarvis had several children in Dilhorne after marrying there in 1820. I believe that Ann and the Mary who married Richard in a previous posting here are related as both have surnames Tanser.

It is possible that Richard and William are also related so I would like to find the origin of William also.

William and Ann had Thomas 1821, Mary Ann 1823, Louisa 1825, William 1829, Joseph 1831 and Edward 1834. All baptised at Dilhorne.

I would be grateful if someone could find them in the 1841 and 1851 census.

Is this one of William and Anns sons Joseph born 1831 ? it says he is born Blythe Marsh because Blythe Marsh is listed on the Dilhorne Staffordshire census of the other Jarvis's 1851. If it is Williams son there is a link with Richard being China Dealers.

Many thanks Pam. That is really useful the Walsall record looks as if its one of Williams sons and the 1851 census is of Richards children. It does however pose a little problem in that the Richard jun who is with Richard in Bodmin is aged 13 and born in Barnstaple and the Thomas who is in Dilhorne is aged 12 (but actually baptised in Dilhorne in Nov 1838) are very close in birth date and very different in location.

 

Can I be cheeky and ask if you could find Richards family in 1861?

Could this be Thomas Jarvis their son? He is a China dealer also.
