i am trying to do my husbands family tree and i am looking for gurnice watkins am i spelling his first name right does anyone know he was from the risca area of gwent

thats him how dumb am i tried spelling it all ways now i have to look for hubbies father as gurnos was his brother his fathers name was desmond anyway of finding out where they were living

Your best bet would be the birth cert. Newport registration district would cover Risca.
I had a quick look for possible marriages and there was one in 1921 of Edmund Watkins to May Jenkins, but there are also other children registered before that with surname Watkins mmn Jenkins, but after your last post, I like this other one

Think I was helped by living near a Gurnos Road at one time

families can be confusing as his fathers real dad was killed at an iron foundrey when desmond was a baby but this has confirmed that they kept his name as his mother went on to remarry

died August 1994
