Would some kind person, give me a push in the right direction.

I'm looking for the Church records for Hengastell, Nr. Bridgend. I was told that the church was demolished in about 1870 and a new building erected in about 1880 now called St.Mary's Nolton.
Genuki, gives me HENGASTELL / OLDCASTLE, Monmouthshire, surely this is not the same place?
I thought that St.Mary's Nolton was a Chapel of ease to Coity.
I'm looking for records from about the 1790's for Hengastell, but it's all getting a little muddled
