I have been asked several times this week what the BVRI is. I keep posting the information, but here it is in a separate message.
British Isles Vital Records Index, produced on 16 CDs by LDS church available in UK from Church of LDS Distribution Centre, 399 Garretts Green Lane, Garretts Green, Birmingham B33 0UH. (Fax orders 08700 102052, Credit/debit card orders 08700 102051). Current price looks like £22.95 but check that to make sure. It contains records like the IGI does but many/most of them are not on the IGI. Coverage varies but it says that 7.3m of the records (about 70%) have not been published before.

October 2008 - reported that you can only order these online now, but not listed on the LDS site. Awaiting further information.
