BEECHENO, Arthur Edward b. Peterborough 1863

I have today found that an ancestor of mine (Elena LYON) born in Chile married Arthur Edward BEECHENO born in Peterborough in 1863. I cannot find any record of the marriage.

Also, I understand that all their five children (James, William, Joan, Lionel and Alec) were born in England but I can only trace Alec's birth. Could sks please point me in the right direction?

Roughly when was the eldest born? Do you have them on any censuses?
Could they have married in Chile?

According to the info this so called cousin has put on tree two boys James and William were born c.1897, then Joan 1900, Lionel Edward 1906 and Alec in 1909 - I have details for Alec.

Am wondering if Arthur went out to Chile and married there and then the children were born when they were both back in England.

Can find nothing on censuses, to date!

I have found Arthur on the 1881 census with his parents and this states he was born in Walton which will help with later searches.
The ref for 1881 is RG11 3186 f96

I am getting so confused now. Someone gave me his year of birth as being 1863 and as I said the children were born from 1897 from what I have read!

Also, Elena Lyon was born in 1869 so are we really talking about the same Arthur?

Well Sasha there is definitely an Arthur Edward Beecheno born 1863 on Free BMD and on the 1881 census with his parents.  I have also traced his parents in 1891 with 2 other sons.
If Elena was born in 1869 and they were having children in the 1890s that would be OK.

Will keep looking - getting an idea now of how his name might be misinterpreted.

So far as the censuses are concerned I can find various family members in each from 1861 to 1901.  Bot I have only found Arthur in 1881.  In 1871 I suspect he and older brother Charles were away at school as they are not with their parents.

I can find nothing on Arthur after 1881 although I canfind his brothers and their marriages!  Do you think he might have gone abroad? Perhaps worth checking passenger lists.
