Anyone with news of Xavier Heyworth, please?  Believe he may be in Victoria, but have only recently discovered this.  Contact lost in WW2.

Seeing as googling him finds a Xavier Jose Johnstone Heyworth who is/was a surveyor in Victoria, it would probably be worth looking at Heyworth J J & Associates (surveyors who seem to be registered at the same address).

I had a look under the WW2 records for Australia.
This was the only Heyworth listed.
Clearly this person was special as he was a prisoner of war.
I hate to point out but he passed away in 1945.
kind regards
tanya

Jorose - this is almost certainly him.  However - and call me a coward - since my Mum has now gone into care because of her dementia, I don't think I will pursue this one.  Many thanks to all who have read my message.  There has not been a reply from anyone who knows this man - I would have loved to talk to him, but unless he or his family are able to come forward then I have to let Mum's memories die with her.

I don't think posting email addresses is allowed on here. However, if you don't feel able to place information on an open board, I believe there is a PM system.  I don't know how that works, but I am sure someone can help.

thanks.

I have sent PM to both nick and bluedog.  It would be interesting to know whether it is the same person.  My original message is some time back.

Unable to send you a PM (no "reply" button).  Maybe because I'm just new here.  Will try again tomorrow.  I think it most likely it is the same person.
