Gorman family Charleville

I am researching the Gorman family of Charleville and surrounding area of Cork.
I am interested in the extended families of James Gorman and his marriage to Joanna Kirby.

Have just posted a message on your Collins, Kerry thread. Any idea when James Gorman and Joanna Kirby were married? Have you checked the local church records yet?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Yes I found a marriage record in Shandrum 1831 between a Hanna Kirby and a James Gorman but that is all I have. Can't seem to find out more - it did not tell me their parents. I know they had children in Charleville because I found a couple of baptism records - on my 3 x great grandmother Catherine Gorman 1835.

Greetings!   my great great great grandmiother was catherine gorman....she married cornelius baldwin and lived in kilworth, co. cork.  They had three children that i know of Cornelius(born in 1825), Mike(born in 1827), and Ellen(born in 1829)e three came to minnesota and married and had many children(of course both of the boys had a boy named cornelius and a girl named catherine)  does this fit in at all with your catherine gorman?  we found her name on a trip last year to ireland....we knew they came from Kilworth an dwent there and found the baptismal record for mike and ellen....and their parents names....any additional info on these families would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks!

Sorry this is not our Catherine Gorman. Our one married a Michael Collins.

Good luck in your search.
