Hi

Have just joined this site and noticed your post - there is a church and cemetery in Trinity Road, Luton.  My Dad and his parents lived in Trinity Road for years and his sister Diana got married at the church (I was a bridesmaid) - in fact she still lives in a house directly opposite it as she has for many years.  My great grandmother and many other relatives are buried there.  The church is called the Holy Trinity Church, Biscot and is sometimes also called Biscot Church.

Regards
Debs

Hi Amelia ,

Thak you for the Churches name. I was very lucky that a fellow rootschatter came to my aid and actually took photos of this cemetery for me. My whole family was completely grateful to see pics of his grave .

Welcome to Rootschat and I hope you have great luck with your searches .

Funnily enough, I was married at St Joseph's RC church Gardenia Avenue Luton, and I've just fould your postings while looking for details of the cemetery you seek (my grandparents and parents were buried there - in an RC sanctified plot though it's an Anglican churchyard). I believe the church in the grounds has a Register showing the location of every burial plot. The address is:
Holy Trinity Church
161 Bishopscote Road
Luton
Beds
LU3 1PD
Contact: Fr Thomas Singh, (44) 1582 579410
It's quite a pretty church: I attach a sketch.
Best wishes
Bruce

HI Bruce,

Thank you very much for the picture of the Church. I will be adding it to the family history. It was very kind of you :)

Hi Megan,
I'm your cousin.  We met years ago in California.  I visited Catherine McGrory Flanigan's grave when I was ten years old with my mom and dad (and one of my sisters). She is buried WITH Patrick.  They share the same plot.  I have photographs of it that I took then.  I don't remember the name of the cemetery as I was quite young but if you know where Patrick is buried than know that your great-grandmother is buried there too.  It was not a catholic cemetery and I believe the story about the land being consecrated is true.  I believe my dad told me that when we were there.

My sister who was with us on the trip might also remember a bit more as she is six years older than I am and may remember more facts.  I hope that's helpful.  I believe you are in contact with my sister Cathie (I am the youngest) and she can give you my e-mail address if you are interested or want to see photos...  There are other family members that can also give you this kind of information if you are interested.
