Hello Karen
My Farrell's didn't get to New Zealand. My Catherine married Patrick Logan in Newry Cty Down in 1834. The family went to Australia. I have a hint that some of Catherine Farrell's own family (mother, father, siblings) may have ended up in New York.  Might be worth pursuing that if you've not done so already.
In the NZ BDM index there is a marriage in 1863 to a Michael Cleary, but no bride mentioned!
Ref: 1863/429   Michael    Cleary
Accessed from: https://www.bdmhistoricalrecords.dia.govt.nz/Home/
Regards
Bryan

ok thanks Bryan, i am slowly collecting certificates for my families and did get a death cert for their daughter. they were from Ardmore ireland origionally
My two would have been married late 1840-early 1850's going by their childrens births.
There are two couples in top of south island that were michael and catherine cleary. nee farrell, so hopefully i can order the right certificate.
cheers karen :)
