Thank you very much, Cas; that firms up my assumption that they were married in Merthyr Tydfil - it's nice to have a bit of proof!
It looks, from the available evidence, that both parties moved from Pembrokeshire to MT, independently, sometime before 1821.
I just wish that I could sort out where on earth Enoch was born. I'll have to go through all the information that I've got on the family from 1841 onwards to see if I've missed any tiny clue - a relative visiting from Pembrokeshire or similar.
