McGauran any Different Spellings

I have a Catherine Mcgauran Born 1877c Died 1937 England,she married a Joseph Appleby abt 1893c 1st child born Army Barracks Athlone in 1894.Now if she couldn't read or write are there any different spellings for McGauran as I can't find a marriage for them.(I presume she was Irish)

Just a guess but perhaps McGowan?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
