Trowbridge - 1841-1851-1861

Looking for:

Joseph Billett b. 1826 Woollen Spinner
and his wife Sarah Billett b. 1830

They married in 1846 so will have a family.

Also, if anybody has access to 1841 Census - I am expecting to find him with parents John Billett (b.1797) and Sarah (b. 1795 Wilts).  Joseph was the fifth child - so will have family.  Interested in John's occupation.

This may be John Billett’s baptism:

b 1798, baptised 21 May 1809 Trowbridge  parents Thomas & Ann Billett

all their other children, bar 1, were baptised on the same day.  They were:

Thomas (b 1799 ) James (b 1800), Elizabeth (b 1804), William (b 1806), Ann (b 1808)

Sarah was baptised 26 Apr 1795.

Billett and variants seems to be very common in Wiltshire.

No, Kim, sorry, there doesn't appear to be.  The Trowbridge records in this collection cover three different churches.  St James covers 1783 -1913, but the other two miss the period you are interested in.

But I have found the children of Alfred Neal Billett 1861-1873.
