Hi
I am also searching the Milligan branch of my tree at the moment and so far I'm back to James Milligan c:1827 married to Mary (surname indecipherable but possibly Gordon) he was Father to my GG Grandmother Margaret, born in Buittle 1856.
The entire family, so far, are all Kirkcudbrightshire, so maybe we have a link.
Regards
Catherine
