Hi
I'm looking for the origins of Frederick Wood a ligtherman (although no appreticeship record exists) who was born about 1800, married Matilda Mitchell in 1830 Limehouse and drowned 1854 Regents Canal (if only I could find a newspaper report!).
Frederick and Matilda had children Louisa (married Samuel Slatter), Mary Ann Amelia, Frederick (married Julia Griffiths), Matilda (possibly married William Green), Elizabeth Ann (married John Sinfield), Joseph, George (married Sarah), Eliza (possibly married Henry Hoare) and John. Some of this family emigrated to Kansas USA in 1872
Frederick Wood junior married Julia Griffiths in 1858 Stepney and had children Frederick (married Ann), Sydney (married Catherine or Caroline), Alfred (married Eliza Flewers) and Anna
Do these names ring any bells?
