Well he's a pre war territorial as he has the "Imperial Service" badge on...

One could perhaps have a go at the shoulder title, but again Sandy...Sorry duck...not at this resolution!  ;) ;)

I have found a list of people with numbers on the back from my relly who gave me them.

He notes it as Sidney Arthur Eady.

cant find sidney arthur eady but theres a sidney eady royal engineers and west yorkshire regiment listed on medal index cards.(This guy has annotated on MIC presumed dead) could it be yours?(Born Wellingborough,Northants Enlisted Bedford) 2nd West Yorkshires.

Well it said named passed on so I think we could take that as a yes.

Especially seeing the family were from Northamptonshire.

I have just found Sydney's pension record and there is a letter from my Great Uncle
asking not to send him to the front. So Sad as it must have been for so many.

Could you explain M.I.C. please if it does not mean Mentioned in casualties.

Also where do you find this extra information.
