David YOUNG & Grace FLEMING - Glasgow to Aberdeen c1900
« on: Tuesday 06 May 08 00:04 BST (UK) »
David YOUNG married Grace FLEMING on May 25 1894 in Glasgow Lanark where they were both born.

As of 1901 Census, they lived at 6 Williams Square in the civil parish of St Clements in the city of Aberdeen.

At that time they had 3 children, all born Glasgow:

1]  David YOUNG born abt 1895
2]  Archibald YOUNG born abt 1897
3]  Walter Fleming YOUNG born abt 1899

Archibald YOUNG married Susan Little B CLARK in 1920.

Walter Fleming YOUNG married Jessie ALLARDYCE in 1920 at Rubislaw.

Grace FLEMING was born abt 1876, d/o James FLEMING & Grace AIRTH.

Her brothers Archibald and Thomas emigrated to the USA.
Her brother Walter was in the Rutherglen, Lanark area.

I would love to find any children for David, Archibald or Walter YOUNG and their wives in Aberdeen as well as the burials for any of the family, but especially Grace FLEMING Young.

Any help or suggestions gratefully accepted and appreciated!

Hi Dallas,

The Aberdeen and North-East Scotland Family History Society has a lot of useful information so i would suggest a visit to their web page  http://www.anesfhs.org.uk/

There is a David Young listed on the Logie-coldstone war memorial 1918 but Young is a common surname around there so it may not be your David.
another:

Names and dates on Stone Number 71:

David YOUNG 7 June 1915
Robert YOUNG 17 Dec 1945
Elsie GLASS 2 Aug 1948

NOTE: This is not the complete inscription
You will find the full text in booklet reference number AA121 from ANESFHS

These are just a couple of examples. It would be worth your while checking for everyone you are interested in. Not all the MIs are online as it is an ongoing project.

Hope this helps

I did check their pages first and could not find any burials for Archibald or Walter and knowing that David was such a common name, decided to post my query here in hopes that someone may have some tiny bit of info for me to continue with!

Thanks for your suggestions all the same :o)
