Thank you for that Barbara, in the 1851 Census Mary, Ann and George were all given as daughter and son in law but I wanted to check on the others and confirm that they were all Ann's children. By 1851 she had become Ann Atterby.
Thanks again.

Derek

Hi,

I hope you don't mind me adding to this but I thought you may find this information interesting regarding the children's names.

(I've just copied and pasted the info how I received it)

Ann Hubbert married Charles Ingamells in 1818 but he died in 1823. She then had a child with Samuel Clarke (Mary) and twins (Abraham and Isaac) with Willam King - but did not marry either. she then had children with George Atterby in 1836 nd 1838 and eventually married him in 1849. She is with George Atterby and several of the children on the 1841 census, including Abraham aged 11. It is possible that when Abraham married Sarah Pacey he put down his mother's first husband as his father - he had Charles' surname, but the parentage was impossible as Charles had died 6 years before his birth. Maybe he had grown up thinking that this was true or maybe the person who took the details for the marriage assumed that Charles was his biological father. The baptism register for Sibsey does show the baptisms of the children with the father named, and Abraham and Isaac are listed as twins. I have no idea who William King was, above what is in the baptism entry.
