Hi Gillian,

Could I ask what the CWGC is.   I may be being gormless but I am trying to help somebody else who also had a relative in the East Yorkshire regiment, he was awarded a military medal.  We are trying to pin down an address for him.

Thanks,

Elin

Hi, it's me again ;D

I am now looking for Albert H. Frost's brother;

Charles George Frost. I have his military record
RANK: Corporal.
SERVICE NUMBER: 12723.
UNIT/REGIMENT: 7th Bn east Yorkshire Regiment.
BORN: Sherburn in Elmet.
ENLISTED: York.
RESIDANCE: Leeds.
GAVE HIS LIFE: 29/10/1917.
AGED: 23.
CEMETERY: Mont Houn Military Cemetery Le Treport.
PANEL: VI. B. 1A.
LOCAL MEMORIAL: None.
I have two questions:
On ancestry's WW1 medal rolls index they give the following info: DCM LG 22 september 1916 B44-28

How can I find more details of this? What do these numbers stand for?
Also...while I'm here  ;D  Am I correct, in my amateur research, to say he died at Passchendaele?

Thanks a lot, Gillian
