Lancelot Isaac 1841 and 1851 (completed - THANKS!)
« on: Monday 12 May 08 02:44 BST (UK) »
Hi
I'm looking for Lancelot Isaac born in Swansea. He married Elizabeth Thomas at St John's Swansea, in 1839. I am not sure when he was born it was either 1798 or 1817? I know the information is very vague but I've got it off GenForum.

In 1851 I believe they were living in 41 Tymaen St,Glamorgan.

regards

Hi Tati
Many thanks for the census information, it fills in a lot of gaps that I have had.
Up until I came across the posting mentioning Lancelot and that his parents were Richard and Margaret Isaac,  I had not realised that Martha had a brother.  I had come to a dead end.
Thanks again.
regards
pd

Hi Cas
I had thought that there were two Lancelots. With the ch: date being the same as Martha's it does suggest that they were twins. Many thanks for the information.

Hi Cas
If you have access to the glam index any chance you can look up Martha Isaac born to Richard Isaac and Margaret Thomas about 1818.

The 1841 census has her as 20
The 1851 census has her as 33
The 1861 census has her as 42
The 1871 census has her as 52
The 1881 census has her as 63

I have her marriage cert so don't need her marriage. She married William Davies in 1846, her age then was full.

It seems that there must have been 2 Lancelots and 2 Marthas.
