1851 Census - Jemima Hill, Buckinghamshire
« on: Wednesday 19 January 05 06:00 GMT (UK) »
I am now looking for Jemima Hill in 1851 Buckinghamshire Census.  Her parents were James and Sarah Hill, and she was born at Steeple Claydon.

Thanks

Hi

There are 2 Jemima Hill's on the census, both with parents James & Sarah & neither were born in Steeple Claydon. !!!

However, the following family are in Twyford, not very far from Steeple Claydon so they could be the ones.

Twyford
Piece 1724 Folio 443 Sch 0111

James Hill Head aged 62 Ag Lab born Twyford

Sarah Hill Wife aged 56 born Oakley by Brill

Jesse Hill Son aged 19 Ag Lab born Twyford

Jemima Hill Dau aged 15 born Twyford.

The other Jemima is aged 6 & the family were born & live in Wendover.

If you would like their details let me know.

Regards

I think these would be the ones, as when Jemima married John Clarke (who you so very kindly looked up for me yesterday), the marriage took place at Twyford,  and Twyford is listed on one of their children's death certificates.  I also note that this Jemima had a brother called Jesse, which is also a name given to their oldest child.

Thanks heaps for your effort.
