Are you located near one of the Education and Library board's Headquarter libraries They're in Armagh, Belfast, Ballymena, Ballynahinch and Omagh and each should have a good set of directories covering both Belfast and the Province of Ulster (pre 1922) as well as Belfast and Northern Ireland (post 1922).   

If you're unable to get to one of these libraries but do visit your local library either ask your local library to ask the HQ for the information or send a message yourself.

The libraries in Northern Ireland offer a brilliant service and answer family history queries from all round the world. I'm near the SEELB HQ and if I receive a query at the same time as the library and walk up there to search for the required information I may well find that the librarian has already posted her reply e-mail to the person who posted the query to the library and myself.

There's a Rooney family living at 43 Kilmood St. in 1911 census:

Laurence Rooney was my great grandfather, they moved from kilbroney estate where he was the gate keeper.
