Hi sucram,

Are you located near one of the Education and Library board's Headquarter libraries ??? They're in Armagh, Belfast, Ballymena, Ballynahinch and Omagh and each should have a good set of directories covering both Belfast and the Province of Ulster (pre 1922) as well as Belfast and Northern Ireland (post 1922).

If you're unable to get to one of these libraries but do visit your local library either ask your local library to ask the HQ for the information or send a message yourself.

The libraries in Northern Ireland offer a brilliant service and answer family history queries from all round the world. I'm near the SEELB HQ and if I receive a query at the same time as the library and walk up there to search for the required information I may well find that the librarian has already posted her reply e-mail to the person who posted the query to the library and myself.

Going through old posts and not sure if you've found the information you were looking for as this thread wasn't marked completed.

There's a Rooney family living at 43 Kilmood St. in 1911 census:

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Laurence Rooney was my great grandfather, they moved from kilbroney estate where he was the gate keeper.
