Hi again Fenetta

I have also indexed the National Roll of the Great War for Beds and Northants and have images also.

May come in help sometime if any turn out to be from the areas noted.

Sandy

Hello Sandy:

For a minute I didn't quite know what was going on.  Seems like you and Scrimnet (even though thats one SERIOUS name  ;D) have a bit of fun going on......

Thanks for your reply and you too SCRIMNET !!!!

Hi Fenetta

I did want you to know some of the information I had might come in handy to
you at a later date if rellies are from Northamptonshire.

Got a bit carried away talking to "The General" or did someone say elsewhere
"Field Marshall" which is higher grade.

Scrim aka Son Ahh Bless you still care for me if you compare me to your own.   :)  :)  :)

Really truly glad that O.H. is back home and has you paying her attention.

Well aware others things have taken preference must have been quite worrying
for you both.

See what I posted here yesterday.

Points 1-6 now noted and taken into account.

Answered by looking up myself.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_Marshal

Higher than General.  :-[

No wonder it was meant to be the higher accolade.

I am learning Scrim.  ;D Slowly but Surely.

Due to prompt answers to my request, I have just found out that the person I have been researching for past year is NOT the Grandfather I was looking for.  I have found out lots of info about someone else's family.  Anyway, thanks for the great help.
ROOTSCHAT is the best!!! :)

THANKS for your help in the past.

Still looking for GRANDFATHER JOHN (WALTER M.) SPRIGGS, born 1889 Dover, Kent.  He supposedly died in WW1 but I cant prove anything.  ???

But Genes Reunited have shown a possible John W Spriggs died WW1, 1917
Can anyone lookup same please??  Any info on John greatly appreciated.

Hi again Fenetta

Thanks for e-mail saying at last you have confirmation about the correct family,
which was the original family you were tracing.  :)
