Emma JENNINGS
« on: Thursday 22 May 08 13:04 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Can some out there help me out please?  I have managed to trace my ancestor Emma Jennings up until the information given from the 1861 Census where she appears in Marlborough, Wiltshire.  Emma was born in 1833 in Burbage, a daughter of Thomas Jennings and Jane Crouch, who married at Collingbourne Kingston in abt 1804 (apparently).  Emma stayed behind in England after her mother died.  He Father and siblings came to live in OZ in 1852. I have been unable to locate her on a later passenger list so I don't think she left england.  Would love to know what happened to her.
Thanks
Tanya

Hi,

Can't paste the link for the burbage village website, but there's loads of FH stuff there.

Good luck with your search.

Hi Alli,

Yes thanks i do.. What I am really looking for is what happened to her after 1861 when she was a  barmaid at the Five Alls Inn.  I have searched the entire Burbage website but there doesn't seem to be any trace of her.

Hi Alli & Ewan

All her siblings did emmigrate.  And yes that could be her.  Am I able to access parental info on the net, so that I can confirm whether it is or not.  Being in Aust, it makes it a little difficult to go to the records office.  If you know how I can confirm this I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi again,

Just checked the David Church lead on the IGI and we have lucked out.  This marriage occured in 1854 so it can't be Emma's hubby.  Thanks anyhow, please don't quit on me yet though!!!! ;)

Thanks
