20 Jul 1823 Michael Nash, bachelor, otp, married Elizabeth Prosser, spinster, otp, banns.   Witnesses Thomas Prosser ans Caleb Angel.

John and Mary also had the following children baptised

28 Feb 1802 John son of John and Mary Naish
20 May 1804 Hannah dau of John and Mary Nash
5 Jan 1806 Thomas son of John and Mary Nash

Nash and Naish are often interchangeable.

Hi Dave

I am so sorry not to have replied before, but I have suffered a major computer crash, resulting in losing all info on my root drive. I am rebuilding my family tree with the stuff that I have backed up on an external drive.

Thanks so much for the info from Melksham. I have now taken it as read that my GG Grandfather's (Michael Nash b1798)  parents were indeed John Naish b1770 and Mary Pearce. I have also taken John's parents to be Richard Naish b? and Betty Pollard. All from Melksham.

My next quest is to find more about Richard!

No problem, computer failure is an ongoing nightmare.   I have my tree backed up on 2 websites and another computer but still dread the possibility of losing it all.   Hope all is OK now.
