I found the following in Griffiths Valuation taken around 1850. Griffiths listed the head of household for families that held/rented land.

Surname Forename Townland Parish County
Daly Benjamin Knocknamucklagh Kilmeen Cork
Daly Benjamin Reandallane Kilmeen Cork

Surname Forename Townland Parish County
Daly Jeremiah Reandallane Kilmeen Cork
Daly Margaret Reandallane Kilmeen Cork

Kilmeen is the old name for the parish area of Boherbue and Kiskeam near Kanturk. I know that people would say they originated from Kanturk as this was the major town of the area.

I have found the following family for Kilmeen parish

Parents: Benjamin Daly & Margaret Cronin
Children: Hannah Daly 19 Dec 1837, Benjamin Daly 18 Feb 1846, Michael Daly 25 Jan 1843, Margaret Daly 11 May 1851, Ellen Daly 04 Jun 1840, Dermot 08 Dec 1848

They probably had alot more children from my experience with Kilmeen parish most baptisms werent recorded.

When I get home I will see if I can find any Benjamin Daly's in the Tithe taken around 1825-1830

THANKYOU GERARD A MURPHY

I THINK THIS IS HIGHLY PROBABLE MATCH. :)

THANKS

I WILL SEE IF I CAN TRACE ANY OF THE OTHER FAMILY.

PS DO YOU THINK SHE CAME TO LONDON TO ESCAPE THE POTATO FAMINE.

Well the famine could be one reason people left Ireland right through the 19th Century she may have gone to a relative too.  If we could prove that her father was one of the Bartholmew Daly's in Kilmeen we could see how much land houses they rented.

Also just to add to the probability this is the only Bartholomew Daly in Cork in Griffiths Valuation.
