Hi, Can anyone tell me where I would search for the Belmullet Poorhouse records, I am going to be visiting Belmullet in June, following  Garrity, Mulgrew and Caulfield names, and I would appreciate any help

If there are any records I'm not sure where they might be held but perhaps if you e-mailed the library at Castlebar they might advise you.

Hello Mary,

There are Indoor Workhouse Registers available for twenty three of the Irish Poor Law Unions. Mayo is not on the list. www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~fianna/guide/PLUwork.html
