The next meeting of the Oxfordshire Family History Society is a
computer focussed meeting to be held on Monday 2 June 2008 at Exeter Hall,
Oxford Road, Kidlington, Oxford OX5 1AB.
The doors will open at 7.15pm. The meeting will start at around 7.30pm. It
will feature a presentation by Peter Beavan of Berkshire FHS entitled "From
Balaklava to Bangalore - a computer search of the history of a 19th century
family". The talk will demonstrate how Mr Beavan researched his family
history using a selection of both well-known and obscure online sources.
Peter's the Secretary of the Berkshire FHS Computer Group Committee, and a
well-recomended speaker.
