1871 Census in Dyffryn Clydach, Cadoxton Juxta Neath. However, 1861 is showing as it being Blaenrhondda in Cadoxton, and 1851 simply calling it Neath - I'm not familiar with the area, so beats me exactly where this is supposed to be.
I've got the 1841 Census showing the house as Cwm Clydach, in 1851 it's known as Bryncoch (HO 107/2464, Fol 385, Page 2) with the next two residences on the pages being 5 & 6 Bryncoch Colliery), and in 1861 it's listed as 4 Tanyfelin(?), with the house before it being Bryncoch (RG 9/4093, page 12 unknown folio sorry).
The family in 1841 and 1851 was headed by Margaret Evans, but she appears to have died between 1851 and 1861, and the head is now Phillip Evans (with wife Catherine, daughters Margaret, Mary (x2), Catherine, Elizabeth, and his younger brother William.
I was short of time this morning, so didn't manage to get to look for the 1871, and it bugs me so much to get new info and then have to quit hence the begging!
Also, if anyone has any local knowledge and could give me some sort of reference point on a current map that would be great - seem to be struggling with Google Local
