Hi
Not sure I'm posting in the correct place but can someone advise as to how I can open an email attachment which has two photo's of my ancestors but they have .psd as their file extension!  Every time I try to open them it won't let me I believe psd is associated with Photo Shop which I don't have is there anyway I can open them in Paint?!

I'm sure Jim has already kindly sorted this one out for you.  But there is an alternative.
You can download the 30day free trial of photoshop  or elements 6 so that you can open the file and rename it as a .jpeg file. 

ps.. if you have problems saving it as a jpeg, it might be the file needs the layers flattening (if there are any) first. 

I've also just found that Irfanview will also open .psd files :D  This is  FREE software which you can also use to resize photos. www.irfanview.com  Its good and easy to use.!

Please acknowledge when a restorer works on your photos, it can take hours for them to work their magic

Please scan at 300dpi minimum to help save the restorers eyesight.
