 I am looking for my uncle 1914/1018  army medal card I would be grateful for any help..

Ancestry have an ongoing publication of colour copies of front and back most have been added but still a lot outstanding.

The ‘clasp’ was issued for those men involved in the early actions of WW1. It is mentioned under 1914 Star in this link - http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/medals.asp.

This reference on the MIC refers to Kings Regulation no. 1743 of 1912 that relates to medals etc that cannot be delivered. I think in this case it shows that the clasp was returned to the Medal Office, and as there is no indication that it was claimed at a later date, was probably destroyed about 10 years later.
