Emma BANGLE
« on: Tuesday 17 June 08 17:39 BST (UK) »
I cannot find a birth entry for Emma BANGLE, born c1845 in Harston, Cambs. which is odd, as her brother Edward is there in 1839.  I wonder if fresh eyes may have more luck?

Thanks to you both - even her date of baptism is a help, but excuse my ignorance, what is BVRI?   Ann

Hi Ann

British Isles Vital Records Index - produced on disc by the LDS church with some additional records not on the IGI.

Just off to bed now but if you want me to look tomorrow for any others in the family  I will.

Incidentally whilst playing on A2A website I found a mention for 2nd September 1721 for a Bransum Bangle of Histon Apprenticeship Indentures - would imagine with a first name of Bransum has got to be one of yours

Hi everyone,
That's all a great help, especially to have details of the other Bangle children. Censuses always give Bransum's occupation as tailor, so I was interested to see that he was listed as a publican in 1842.It's strange how some children appear in BMD and others don't.
The name Bransum Bangle appears quite a lot in various records but I haven't been able to connect them to ours.
Thanks again, Ann :)
