Look up on Elizabeth Lawrence"Completed"

Hi Everyone,
                 I have a David Lawrence b:1811 Wednesbury, Staffs who was a Church Minister/Clerk he married Jane Birch b:1812 Darlsaton, Staffs.
Their children was Sarah, Hugh, Ann, David and Betsy all born Willenhall.

I have a marriage certificate on a Elizabeth Lawrence b:abt 1845 Willenhall and David Lawrence is her father, could anyone help me to confirm who her mother is for me please.

I thought it maybe Jane Birch as her birth date falls between David and Betsy.

I am trying to find the family in 1851 at the moment- possibly found David.

                 I'm not quite sure, as i've had someone get intouch with me and he as David the father and also David the son but he also as an Elizabeth but does'nt have the other children i have but they're the same family.
We're trying hard to find her mother?

I didn't search very well- sorry:

1851 HO107; Piece: 2020; Folio: 334; Page: 18
has Sarah, Ann and Betsey with Jane - remarried and now called Dandy.

David is living with Thomas and Mary Lawrence- he is their nephew
Hugh is with Joseph and William Lawrence - also a nephew to them and Sarah their mother.

There is a death for David Lawrance 1846 Wolverhampton district  and a marriage 1849 for Jane Lawrence and Joseph Dandy.

It looks ok to me

Betsy is a pet name for Elizabeth.  It's possible, but not likely that a couple would have an Elizabeth and a Betsy - unless the first one died.

Hi Galium,
            I was'nt sure if Betsy was short for Elizabeth until Heywood mentioned it earlier, it can be mind boggling, would it help if i mentioned who she married?

it's a pleasure - I thought you would have it - the person who got in touch obviously doesn't have that 1851 census with the mix of Lawrence and Dandy children and the others with their relatives and as Galium says - Betsy is a diminutive of Elizabeth.
